Toyo Printing Inks counts down the days for its new facility
Toyo Printing Inks will not only increase its production capacity with the new facility to be commissioned in the upcoming days, but will also expand its existing R&D center by approximately 4 times. With the technological infrastructure of the new facility, the company will both increase its operational efficiency and bring some imported products into domestic production.
Toyo Printing Inks, operating under the Japan-based artience Group, one of the world's largest ink manufacturers, will commission its new facility to be established on an area of 62,500 m² in Manisa Organized Industrial Zone in the upcoming days.
Yakup Benli, CEO of Toyo Printing Inks, stated that they aim to increase their production capacity, strengthen their exports, and introduce some imported products to domestic production in line with their sustainable growth strategies with the new facility and said, “Our factory, which is planned to start its activities in these days, will not only increase our production capacity, but will also accelerate our innovative work in the industry with its new R&D center, which is approximately 4 times the size of our current R&D center, which includes new generation test printing devices.”
Stating that they will continue to develop solutions that will contribute to the circular economy with this investment, Benli said, "Our investments will not be limited to physical production areas. 2025 will be a year in which we will take controlled and important steps in operational efficiency, digitalization and sustainability. With the technological infrastructure offered by our new factory, we aim to increase our operational efficiency with more flexible production processes and respond faster to changing customer expectations."
“We are the solution partner of the industry”
Stating that they are among the leading brands that shape Turkey's ink industry, Benli said, "We produce in our factory in Manisa Organized Industrial Zone and our Color Production Center in Istanbul. In addition to the production of newspaper and magazine, sheet offset, screen printing, flexo and rotogravure inks and metal packaging systems, we also sell product groups such as lamination adhesives and pigments. We are in a position to serve all the needs of the market and our business partners with our products that offer a ‘Total Packaging Solution’. Besides, with our fast service network and customer-oriented approach, we are not only a manufacturer but also a reliable solution partner of the industry."
Stating that 2024 was a year in which challenges and opportunities intertwined for both the industry and Toyo, and in which adaptation and strategic planning were critical, Benli said, "In this process, uncertainties in raw material supply and price fluctuations made it necessary for us to make our planning processes more flexible. Additionally, changes in customer demands and increased interest in innovative products were decisive in shaping our R&D efforts."
“We will achieve controlled and balanced growth in exports”
Stating that they aim to maintain their position as one of the ink manufacturers with the most widespread sales and distribution network in Turkey and continue to offer innovative solutions to their customers, Yakup Benli said, "Export growth is also one of our priorities. By strengthening our position as the regional production and export center of Europe, Africa and the Middle East, we aim to expand our customer network and increase our collaborations, especially in Europe and Africa. 2025 will be a year in which we focus on controlled growth, sustainable production and technological transformation, taking into account global economic dynamics. We will proceed with a strategy that can quickly adapt to changing market conditions, manage risks and prioritize long-term sustainability."
